Nova Health Therapies

About Nova Health Therapies

A small, specialist agency helping California schools find reliable therapy and student-support professionals with care, honesty, and close involvement.

Nova Health Therapies was built for schools that need more than a staffing vendor.

Schools need people they can rely on. They need clear communication, thoughtful support, and a partner who understands how much is at stake when student services are disrupted.

That is what we try to bring to every relationship.

We know that behind every open role there is usually a wider pressure being carried by school leaders, special education teams, staff, students, and families. Our role is to help make that situation feel clearer, calmer, and more manageable.

Built by someone who understands the reality on both sides

More Than Staffing.

I’m Sam Roy, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Behavior Specialist who has also served as Director of Student Services and Special Education for a California school district serving more than 12,000 students.

I have seen this work from both sides.

I understand what it feels like to be responsible for services being delivered, for staff being supported, and for students not being left waiting for the help they need.

That experience shapes every part of Nova Health Therapies.
This agency was built around one simple question: can a school truly count on us when it matters most?

That question influences how we communicate, how we match professionals, and how closely we stay involved once support is in place.
For me, this work has never just been about filling a role. It has always been about helping schools create steadier support around the children who depend on it.

A small team, with a hands-on approach

Nova Health Therapies is intentionally small, and that is part of what makes our approach feel different.

A smaller team allows us to stay close to the work and close to the people we support. It means we can take time to understand what a school actually needs, make more thoughtful matches, and stay available when questions or changes come up.

It also means schools are not left trying to navigate layers of handoffs or generic communication.

When a school works with us, we want the experience to feel personal, responsive, and straightforward.

That does not mean informal or improvised. It means involved, accountable, and easier to work with.

What schools can expect from us

We know most school leaders are not looking for something flashy. They are looking for support that is dependable, realistic, and respectful of their time.

When schools work with Nova Health Therapies, they can expect:

Clear and honest communication

Realistic timelines and straightforward conversations

Carefully matched, school-aware professionals

Direct access when questions or changes arise

Continued involvement after placement, not silence

A steady focus on continuity for students

We would rather be honest than overpromise. We would rather address issues early than let them build. And we believe working with a staffing partner should reduce pressure on your team, not create more of it.

How we work with your school

We keep our process simple, thoughtful, and involved.

We start by listening

We take time to understand the role, the setting, your timeline, and the kind of support that will work best for your students and team.

We talk through realistic options

We are open about what is feasible, what may take longer, and what path may make the most sense for your situation.

You review the fit

We only move forward when your team feels comfortable that the professional is the right fit for your school.

We stay engaged

From communication and coordination to helping with changes along the way, we remain involved so your team does not feel left to manage everything alone.
If something changes, you can speak directly with someone who understands the situation and can help move it forward.

How we work with your school

Schools are carrying a great deal.

They are trying to keep services running, support staff, meet student needs, and make good decisions under pressure. We do not take that lightly.

At Nova Health Therapies, reliability is not just something we say. It is something we try to build into the way we work, the way we communicate, and the way we support schools over time.

That means being thoughtful about fit.

It means being honest about what we can and cannot do.

It means following through.

And it means remembering that behind every placement is a child who benefits from stable, consistent support.

For parents

Most of our work takes place in partnership with schools during the school day.

Some families, however, may also be looking for additional support outside school hours.
If you are a parent exploring after-school therapy or related support for your child, we welcome you to visit our dedicated parent page for more information.

There, you can learn more about the kinds of support available, what the process looks like, and how to get in touch if you would like to speak with us.

Privacy and professional care

We take privacy, discretion, and professional responsibility seriously.

Because we work in and around school settings, the exact privacy requirements can vary depending on the type of service, the records involved, and the context in which support is being provided.
Where relevant, considerations such as FERPA, HIPAA, and California privacy requirements may apply.

For fuller details, we encourage schools and families to review our Privacy Policy, California Privacy Notice, and any service-specific information shared during the process.

A note to school leaders

If you are a principal, special education leader, or HR decision-maker in a California school, you are likely carrying a lot at once.

If you need support with an open role, a difficult staffing gap, or even just a realistic second opinion on what may be possible, we would be glad to talk.

You do not need to have everything worked out before reaching out.
